If You Go Down In The Woods Today...It's All Me
I'm a teenage girl who doesn't fit in because I'm cool. And I've been named the class nerd.
I obsess over my grades and school takes up most of my life. So when I rant about my marks, please, please, please don't think I'm boasting. I'm a Canadian science fiction fan who has a burning passion for soccer but cannot play because of my seemingly murderous ankles; they tend to trip me up at least once each game. My favourite music is not what one would expect from someone my age; my favourite singer (should I say "crooner"?) is James Darren. I have no problem with new music, though.My favourite things. Reading. Music. Socks. Rearranging furniture. Puzzles. Macaroni. iMacs. Soccer. SFX (the magazine). Top hats. Stuffed animals. Boxes. Making stuff with my hands. Irish pennywhistle. Rollerblades. Silly ThingsMy computer's name is Spock, my ipod is Serenity and a flash drive of mine is called Kosh. I have almost the entire script of the DS9 episode Trials and Tribble-ations committed to memory. My favourite script font is called Jey. And, finally, Chemistry is overrated.
MusicAs I mentioned, I have rather eclectic taste. Generally, old music (“easy listening” is the genre, I believe) is my comfort music. That is, I listen to it when I’m feeling down, or pissed off at the world. Not to say I only listen to that sort of thing, though. I like a lot of different artists. The only music that I really dislike is rap and country. Aside from that, there’s a high chance I like it, or at least don’t hate it... I also listen to soundtracks of my favourite shows; and I practically live off the Battlestar Galactica OST’s.Music to my ears. The Cribs. Nickelback. Steppenwolf. The Guess Who. Michael Bublé. FandomaniaMy favourite is Star Trek because I was raised watching it. I suppose the stuff that I rant most about are current television shows (my favourite tends to change monthly, or depending on my mood). Mostly science fiction, you see, but not all. I won't even bother listing books because there are far, far too many. Suffice it to say, my absolute favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, J.K. Rowling, Tamora Pierce, Douglas Adams and J.R.R. GraphicsI do not always keep the .psd/.xcf files for my graphics, but if there's a particular technique you like, I can check for the file or try to recreate it, if you ask. I used to use a free graphics program called The GIMP, but now I use Photoshop 7.
